Your privacy.

PD Radar is a founding-pilot project operated by Toby Sumerfield. Privacy enquiries can be sent to privacy@pdradar.com.
What we collect
When you build a Radar, we collect the information you submit, including your name, work email, school, location, role, team size, professional-development priorities and preferences. We also record limited product-usage events such as report views, source-link clicks and voluntary usefulness, monitoring-interest and pricing-interest responses.
Why we use it
We use this information to generate and save your Radar, improve recommendation quality, understand whether the pilot is useful, respond to enquiries and, only where you have chosen the relevant option, support future alerts or updates. We do not sell your personal data, and payment does not affect recommendation rankings.
Legal basis
We process information needed to provide the Radar you request on the basis of taking steps at your request and our legitimate interests in operating and evaluating the pilot. Where electronic marketing or optional updates require consent, we rely on consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Analytics
We use limited analytics to understand aggregate site usage and whether the pilot is working. You can opt out of PD Radar's site analytics on this device below. Product events that are necessary to evaluate a Radar you actively request may still be recorded separately.
Who processes the data
PD Radar uses service providers to host the website, database and related infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and data-protection arrangements. Data may be processed outside the UK; where applicable, appropriate transfer safeguards are used.
How long we keep it
We keep pilot data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, evaluate the experiment, meet legal obligations and resolve issues. We will review retention as the pilot develops rather than keeping personal data indefinitely.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase personal data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and receive certain data in a portable form. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Contact us first at privacy@pdradar.com if you want to exercise a right.
Changes
We may update this notice as the pilot changes. The current version and update date will remain available on this page.
